Christmas is Almost Here!
Once again Christmas snuck up on us extremely fast. Our family has drawn names every Christmas. We try to keep it under control with gifts. We want to focus on the most important meaning of Christmas. Last week I sent out a list to have everyone write down the three things they needed most and they will get one out of the tree. And of course Preston went first and he list his three and a few more extras. Tyler; radio, Justin NCAA 2009 Football and a new cell phone, Sunnie still not home yet, and Kailee wrote NONE don't get me anything. unless.....it's the one thing.( which is cell phone) I told her that's not going to happen. Next thing I know Kailee handed me a notebook and said here is my Christmas list. It looked like this:
Kailee
Christmas List
Do you remember me? I sat upon your knee, I wrote to you, with childhood fantasies. Well I'm all grown up now, and still need help somehow, I'm not a child, but my heart still can dream... So here's my lifelong wish, my grownup Christmas list, not for myself, but for a world in need. No more lives torn apart, that wars would never start, and time would heal all hearts, everyone would have a friend, and right would always win, and love would never end. This is my grown-up Christmas list. As children we believe, the grandest sight to see, was something lovely wrapped beneath the tree. But heaven only knows, that packages and bows, can never heal a hurting human soul. What is this illusion called, the innocence of youth, maybe only in our blind belief, can we ever find the truth.
A lovely song called Grown-up Christmas List by Whitney Houston

I wonder if her "wish she could have" cell phone will "wish it could have" her wish song as the ringtone. It's always fun to pretend you have a cellphone.
Very Creative. Sure do love you, Kailee.
Jordan wants a cellphone too. How long can I hold off???...
Sorry, but in our family, the girls are more likely have to wait untill they are 16 yr. Like it or not!
That whole cell. phone thing these days is nutty. As things are right now, none of our kids will ever have a cell. phone unless they pay for it themselves, and even that wouldn't be until they are probably out of the house. ;-)
Times sure have changed. We'll see when they get older. Good luck holding yours off! :-)
